Arkansas Future Ag Leaders
The Arkansas Future Ag Leaders (AFAL) is a program that aims to develop and cultivate the next generation of agricultural leaders in Arkansas. It is a joint initiative of the Arkansas Farm Bureau and the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture.
The program is open to high school students in Arkansas who have an interest in agriculture and leadership. Participants attend a week-long leadership conference where they engage in interactive activities and workshops focused on agriculture, leadership, and personal development.
During the conference, participants also visit farms, agribusinesses, and other agricultural organizations in Arkansas to gain a better understanding of the state's agricultural industry and its importance to the state's economy.
After the conference, participants have the opportunity to apply for internships with agricultural organizations in Arkansas, as well as to participate in other leadership development opportunities.
The AFAL program is an important initiative to promote agricultural education and leadership in Arkansas. By developing the skills and knowledge of young people who are interested in agriculture, the program helps to ensure that the state's agricultural industry has a strong and capable workforce in the years to come.
