UA Poultry Short Course

In 2011, the Board spearheaded an effort to create a poultry short course at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. The course is designed to show international buyers and nutritionists the benefits of increased feeding of corn, sorghum and DDG in poultry diets. In cooperation with the U.S. Grains Council and the University of Arkansas, foreign buying teams are brought to Fayetteville where they learn the latest in poultry nutrition, production and genetics. The University of Arkansas is uniquely positioned to teach and show foreign teams the most current and efficient production practices. Since the program began in the fall of 2011 the Board has hosted teams from Saudi Arabia, Colombia, Israel, Morocco, Tunisia and Egypt.
