The Arkansas Corn and Grain Sorghum Board consist of 7 corn and/or grain sorghum producers, nominated by industry organizations and appointed by the Governor.

  • 3 – Arkansas Farm Bureau Federation
  • 2 – Riceland
  • 2 – Ag Council

Terms last two years, and while members contribute many hours of their time managing the program, they serve without pay. 

 

David Gammill
Chairman
Appointed to Board in 2005

 

David is a 4th generation farmer from Whitton, AR. He farms 7,000 acres and manages an additional 2,500 acres of corn, cotton, rice, and soybeans in Mississippi and Poinsett Co. He has been farming corn for 10 years, currently corn accounts for 1,200 acres of his production.
Trent Dabbs
Appointed to Board in 2011
Trent is a 5th generation farmer from Stuttgart, AR. He farms 3,000 acres of Corn, Rice, Soybeans, Wheat and Oats.  He has been farming corn for 5 years, currently corn accounts for between 700 and 800 acres of his production.  In addition to serving on the ACGSB, Trent is also active on the Arkansas County Farm Bureau (Vice President, past Secretary), Arkansas Farm Bureau State YF&R Committee, USA Rice Fed. DUR and Foodservice Subcommittees, The Rice Foundation (Board Member), Stuttgart FFA Alumni (Treasurer), and is a graduate of the USA Rice Fed. Leadership Development Program.
Mike Richardson

National Corn Grower Rep
Mike is a 3rd generation farmer from Holly Grove, AR. He farms 1,000 acres of Corn, Soybeans, and Wheat.  He has been farming corn for close to 20 years, currently corn accounts for about 700 acres of his production.  In addition to serving on the ACGSB, Mike is also active on the Monroe County Farm Bureau (past President) and serves as a Master Mason at his local chapter.
Jon Carroll
Appointed to Board in 2011
Jon is a 4th generation farmer from Moro, AR. He farms 3,200 acres of Corn, Rice, Soybeans, and Wheat.  He has been farming corn for 15 years, currently corn accounts for around 700 acres of his production.  In addition to serving on the ACGSB, Jon is also active on the Monroe County Farm Bureau (past President), Arkansas Farm Bureau State Board of Directors, Bank of Brinkley Board, and U.S. Grains Council Representative for Farm Bureau.
Stewart Weaver
Vice Chairman
Appointed to Board in 2004
Stewart is a 3rd generation farmer from Edmonson, AR, located just outside of West Memphis. He farms 4,800 acres of grain sorghum, cotton, soybeans, and wheat.  His farming operation has had corn and sorghum for the last 31 years, today sorghum accounts for around 400 acres of his production.  In addition to serving on the ACGSB, Stewart is also active in the Crittenden County Farm Bureau (past President), Agriculture Council of Arkansas (Vice Chairman), Crittenden Co Extension Council (President), Staplcotn (Board Member), Cotton Council International (Director), Cotton Incorporated (Director), and United Sorghum Checkoff Program (Chairman).
Keith Woolverton
Appointed to Board in 2006
Keith is a 2nd generation farmer from Pollard, AR. He farms 1,600 acres of Corn, Rice, and Soybeans.  He has been farming corn for more than 30 years, currently corn accounts for around 600 acres of his production.  In addition to serving on the ACGSB, Keith is also active on the Clay County Farm Bureau (past President) and former Farm Family of the Year in Clay County.
Tommy Young
Appointed to Board in 2006
U.S. Grains Council Rep
Tommy is a 2nd generation farmer from Tuckerman, AR, where he farms 7,000 acres of Corn, Rice, Soybeans, and Wheat.  He has been farming corn and sorghum for more than 40 years, currently corn accounts for around 2,300 acres of his production.  In addition to serving on the ACGSB, Tommy is also active on the Jackson County Farm Bureau (Secretary), Jackson Co. Quorum Court Member, Trails to Tuckerman Historical Society (Founding Chairman), Jackson Co. Cooperative Extension Board Member, Farmer Supply Cooperative Board, and Ag Heritage Farm Credit Nominating Committee Member.
